Lance, I believe you have hit it dead on. The American people will look at this as nothing more than petty and partisan.

Democrats will be forced to face their own statements and their own sins about Iraq. The Democrats desperately want to expose Bush before the end of his term. Unfortunately, they will also expose themselves in the process.

This story has been hashed and re-hashed over and over.

My guess is that Nancy and her cohorts have so miserable failed at delivering on their promises of two years ago, they are looking for a distraction.

Remember PayGo? Complete Democrat failure

Remember ending the war in Iraq? Complete Democrat failure

Remember ethics reform? Complete Democrat failure

Remember FISA and eavsdropping reform? Complete Democrat failure

Remember earmark reform? Complete Democrat failure

Remember gas prices? They have doubled since the Democrats took over Congress

This Congress has accomplished nothing with the Democrats in charge.

Now it just looks like they are grasping for straws.

The Democrats will fail at this too.
