Quite possibly the best analogy ever

There's no such thing as a perfect analogy, but this one comes awfully close. Patrick McIlheran, commenting on Ed Garvey's latest Cap Times column:

"The basic question that should be asked is, 'If you hate government so much, why do you run for office?'" writes Garvey, again missing the point. This is precisely like offering someone a fifth helping of sauerkraut surprise and, having been turned down, exclaiming, "Why do you hate sauerkraut?"
