ABA: Alito 'Well Qualified'

The American Bar Association voted unanimously (with one recusal) to recommend Judge Samuel Alito, President Bush's nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, as "well qualified," the group's highest possible rating.

That noise you hear and vision you see is Sen. Chucky Schumer (D-ACLU) doing his impression of Linda Blair in The Exorcist. And Howard Dean went: "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, in what the party described as a nationally distributed op-ed article, said, "There are simply too many writings in Judge Alito's record currying favor with the extreme right which show a willingness to favor government power over individual liberties."

What part of "mainstream" doesn't Howard Dean get?
