Since this whole new internet vote scheme has to be done by July 1st (officially part of Big East then) this is nothing more than another sham to ram Golden Eagles down our throats. Since Golden Eagles is obviously a frontrunner to any nickname other than Warriors, this whole vote thing is yet another attempt to manipulate the Marquette stakeholders by the board and Father Wild.

Fellow Alumni, current students, faculty member...a write-in campaign is necessary, if only to show Fr. Wild that he is going against the will of the people. While you will undoubtedly be casting a meaningless vote if you write in Warriors, you will more than likely be casting a meaningless vote if you vote for anything other than Golden Eagles. There is no time for committee deliberation, vote, run-off, and redesign of a new logo and mascot by July 1st. We will be stuck with Golden Eagles yet again.
