Final British Election Thoughts

This post sums it up. (HT Andrew Sullivan.)
35.2 PERCENT: That's Tony Blair's share of the vote. The Tories got 32.3 percent. The difference? 2.9 percent of the vote. The difference in seats? 158 in a 600 + parliament. Labour was saved by the electoral system.
I wouldn't say Labour was saved by the British electoral system. It was saved by a favorable gerrymander.

Anyone still favorable to those things around here?

But I will conclude that is Labour chooses Brown over Blair, then Britain, America, and the Global War on Terror is in real trouble. Brown's "Old Labour."

The Socialist Labour.
