I'm a Marquette alum. I thought it was wimpy of them to change the name to Eagles from Warriors in the first place.

And I agree with you guys -- the Marquette Gold is even dumber.

You know, they could have changed it back to Warriors and said it was "Prayer Warriors".

OK, so that really wouldn't have happened, I know, but it was just a thought. It's supposed to be a Catholic University, after all.

But hey, guys, there's really no reason to get quite so gleeful about the ridicule! I mean, a little honest schadenfreude is one thing, but come on.
