Herm Schneidman, who was the oldest living Green Bay Packer at age 95 and played on a pair of NFL championship teams, died Tuesday in Quincy, Ill., his longtime home.
Schneidman was a blocking back, the forerunner to a fullback, and spent five seasons with the Packers (1935-’39) and was part of Green Bay’s NFL title teams in 1936 and 1939.
At 5-11 and 200 pounds, Schneidman also played receiver, linebacker and defensive back.
Hm. A few days ago,
it was the world’s tallest woman, who died at 53. Now it’s the oldest living Packer. There may be a superlative trifecta in play, here.
