WTMJ Boots McBride

Jessica McBride got the boot for her fake interview with Eugene Kane that threw in Jasmine Owens' death for added effect. I didn't hear the audio (anyone have a copy?) but from the descriptions it sounds very cringe-worthy, like when I heard Belling use the w-word a few years ago.

I get the point McBride was trying to make. I also understand her approach was like when Sykes plays his chirping crickets. But a squawking chicken is obnoxious compared with the quiet emphasis of crickets.

The bit didn't get McBride fired so much as speed up the end of her show. Dennis Miller was coming anyway. This incident just made WTMJ flip the switch faster.
