Janesville's Drinking and Driving Policy
Is probably about to change, thanks to a fairly horrendous story.
Cops stopped 29-year-old Jason Stacy Monday morning at about 1am for speeding and wandering out of his lane. He tested with a .12 blood-alcohol level, well above the .08 state limit.
A trip to the pokey to sleep it off? Nah. He was ticketed and allowed to get a ride with a friend. Three hours later he was dead, having crashed his car into a tree with no seatbelt on.
The incident is under investigation by the Rock County Sherriff's department.
