Split-screens helped Bush

A UW Madison researcher, who I've had as a TA before and is incredibly passionate about political research, did a study on the split-screen debate coverage, and found out that they actually benefited GWB.

Campaigns should not, however, take this to be the rule. I think we all remember Mr. Al Gore's facial expressions and utterances during the 2000 debates.
