Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this the case that then-WGEE/WTAQ morning talker Bill Lamaye used as his entire basis for hating 2002 GOP AG Candidate Vince Biskupic.
I seem to remember Lamaye bought Maloney's story from Day 1 and ran with it. Vince was just caught in a twisted game of 'guilt by association' by Lamaye since he was once a Paulus Deputy in Winnebago Co. before being Outagamie Co. DA.
Maybe I was wrong on that. A lot of this time I was at college during the original trial and missed the initial coverage from GB stations.
