They Just Want to Make People Better.

Lately as I have been sparing with our friends Grumps and Chris(aka Capper)(two of the biggest rights grabbers you will ever meet)over the guns rights of law abiding citizens it struck me the core reason I really do hate the Socialists not dislike but hate.

I hate the fact that they believe they can make people "Better" and they do not care what they have to do as long as they get make us all "Better"

Bear with me here please. The Greatest scene from the Greatest Movie ever made(Serenity) is the speech Mal gives right after they discover how the Alliance created the Reavers as a side effect of trying to make people "Better" on Miranda.

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.

Yes that is my problem with people like Chris and Grumps and their ilk, I do not want to be made "better"

This is the quote Chris aka Capper made that got me really thinking about this
"And if by meddlesome, you mean improving the lives of everyone, I am not ashamed."

Thinking like that scares me because who gets to define what improving means? And what gives him the right to force his idea of improving the lives of everyone on me and mine?

And it is not just Chris aka Capper and Grumps when it comes to guns, it is the whole Socialist movement. Stop and think of all the things in your life they want to make "better".

They want to tell us what to eat, what kind of car to drive, how we should raise our children, how we should heat or cool our house. They want to tell us what we are allowed to say. Hell the Socialists want to tell you what kind of light bulb you can put in your lamps. They want to tell us what Rights matter more that other Rights.

I am sure if we put our minds to it we could come up with literally hundreds of parts of our lives that the Socialists want to interfere with in their efforts to make us all "better" The Socialists have many names for "better" they call it being Green or being Politically Correct and one of my favorite Redistributing the Wealth along with making things Fair. Just to name a few of the ways they say "better"

I for one am tried of it I do not want to be made "better" the Socialists can take their entire effort of making us all "better and shove it up their collective asses.

I am not my brothers keeper you live your life and I will live mine and as long as you leave me alone you will have no trouble from me and people like me. Hell that is the problem with the Socialist they will never understand that most true Conservatives just want to be left alone. Fellow Conservatives tell me if I am wrong here my guess is you just want to live your life and raise your family in your way. And unlike our Socialist friends I believe you should have that right as long as you are not breaking the law or hurting anyone else.

You could go back and read every post I have ever written here and I doubt you find one where I tell you what you should eat drive or what kind of light bulb you use. Because I really do not care, I believe that most of you can live your own lives without me telling you what to do. That is all I am asking is to be left alone.

I will choose, who I help with my charity and when, I will decided who I consider my "community" I will decided how I will live my life and how I will raise my children. I do not need the help of the Socialists thank you very much. And I doubt most of you need their help either.

I think it is time for all of us to stand up and tell the Socialist we do not want to be made "better" because we are pretty happy with the way we are.

And we need to tell them we will not apologize for living our lives in our own way, we will not feel guilty for striving to do the best we can for ourselves and our families.

"They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.
