In Regards to Feingold's Proposed Amendment

I could write up my thoughts on the issue, but Brad at LIB is on the same page as I am letter for letter, so go read his take. I see no reason the issue of temporary senate appointments needs to be decided on the Federal level via a constitutional amendment. Each state currently has the power to decide how those seats will be filled, and it should remain that way. Don't like the way your state does it? Take it up in your state capital.
