Re: McCain [blogger] conference call

Kudos to Lance on his McCain coverage.

Just a note on a pet peeve of mine, old-school blogger that I consider myself to be:

Journalists who add blogging to their method of delivering reportage - especially when there is no feedback mechanism like comments - are journalists. Not bloggers.

Bloggers offer commentary, links and reportage without anyone's official stamp of approval, and therefore are free from oversight and "editorial input" (read: control); but more importantly, they do it without a preexisting platform to make their name from.

Bloggers do it the hard way, uncensored, and provide a forum (their blog and comments) for discussion.
