Admittedly, Italy's election last year blows up this theory, but given the results of today's election in France, Germany's election last year, strives made in Poland and elsewhere, and recent polling showing the Tories look primed to take Parliament in the next U.K. election, the question needs to be asked:

Is Europe getting more politically conservative?
