Re: D.A. charges man for defending himself

First I spotted the following bumper sticker in a Madison parking lot:
Guns kill people like spoons made Rosie O'Donnel Fat.

Anyway as far as Patick's post goes. Didn't a similar case instigate the move for concealed carry in Wisconsin?

IIRC a convenience store clerk was held up and the clerk defended themselves with a gun pulled out from someplace not obvious. I don't recall if the assailant was killed or not, but the DA's office pressed charges for concealed weapons. The clerk was convicted but eventually the Supreme Court of Wisconsin threw the conviction out.

Again IIRC, the decision was concealed carry was a state constitutional right and therefore the conviction was wrong. Of course, this leads to the absurd situation where concealed carry is a constitutional right but not permitted by law. Perhaps the Dems feel like the court will roll back our rights on this issue?

So, the next time the Dems & Doyle talk about rights you know what to say.

Also, thanks a lot Ed Thompson were you in cahoots with Mr. Doyle? I do not believe they were but would the results be any different if they were?
