She's Still Learning

Jessica McBride has done an amazing job in her short stint as a weblogger. But she doesn't understand the power of the link. It's great that she mentioned Kevin and his weblog Lakeshore Laments, but where's the link? A link shares traffic with others. It's a sign of respect and appreciation. Webloggers love getting linked. Technorati and other sites track the links so even if they don't provide oodles of traffic the weblogger knows a little about who's reading and where they come from.
