Maybe it's me, but the GB/FRV media were all pushing the angle that Maloney was set-up. It helped that they had a villain (Paulus - a total scumbag and the gift that keeps on giving to FRV Dems.) they could work with as they framed their story.
Again, I'm not too familiar with this case, but all evidence and testimony pointed to Maloney in this case. He was proven guilty and justice seems to have been served.
The only good thing for the victim, Maloney's likely first stop on the Federal appeals route is through Green Bay. As far as you can get from Judge Lynn Adelman.
