Re: Coulter Shoots Off Mouth at CPAC

During WWI and WWII, the Germans and the Japs were called Krauts and Nips. I am quite certain there were other labels that were more "spicey" than Kraut and Nip.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ann Coulter. Her latest column is an example of the love half. Most concede (myself included) she spends most of her time "over the top". However, sometimes she is the one of the few out there with the nerve to talk about some ugly truths.
But three cartoons made political points.

One showed Muhammad turning away suicide bombers from the gates of heaven, saying "Stop, stop -- we ran out of virgins!" -- which I believe was a commentary on Muslims' predilection for violence. Another was a cartoon of Muhammad with horns, which I believe was a commentary on Muslims' predilection for violence. The third showed Muhammad with a turban in the shape of a bomb, which I believe was an expression of post-industrial ennui in a secular -- oops, no, wait: It was more of a commentary on Muslims' predilection for violence.

In order to express their displeasure with the idea that Muslims are violent, thousands of Muslims around the world engaged in rioting, arson, mob savagery, flag-burning, murder and mayhem, among other peaceful acts of nonviolence.
See the whole column here at Townhall.

Seems to me to be a pretty fair accounting of events relating to the Cartoon Conflagration.

Yes, there have been columns of hers I have stopped reading because they are nothing but personal attack or similar.
