Why you should own and keep a gun in your home
Why should you own and keep a gun in your home? Because you never know when an uninvited stranger may fall through your ceiling. From the Janesville Gazette:
If you don't like guns, by all means, you are free to not own one. But your family is just a little bit less safe in your own home when you don't.
A Janesville homeowner shot and critically wounded a man that police say broke into the attic through a roof vent and then crashed into the living room through the ceiling Monday night. This case is still under investigation, so police are refusing to say whether Rainero was justified in shooting Prochska. Procshka has a moderate record, though, and the police report lists Prochska as the suspect and Rainero as the victim. The fact that Rainero gave Prochska two opportunities to get out of his home is a pretty strong indicator that this will be found to be a justified shooting. But with today's unhinged anti-gun attitudes, you can never be sure.
Kurt E. Prochaska, 38, of 3920 Afton Road, Janesville, remained in critical condition this morning at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
Prochaska was shot once in the back by Michael L. Rainiero, 45, of 2520 Linden Ave., Janesville, said Lt. Danny Davis, head of Janesville police detectives.
