The Battle of Armageddon
Yesterday on the way home I was listening to the Michael Medved Show in which Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania was featured during a segment. The Senator was talking about his new book “It Takes A family to Raise A Child”. There was a discussion which led the Senator to comment on the “cultural war” that is taking shape in this country. In coincidence with the recent postings and commentaries on this site, it was brought forth that how for so many years the Conservatives have won the political battle, but they forgot to wage the battle for the soul of the culture. Need we forget the words of Lenin who stated that he didn’t care about winning the political battle, for those who win the cultural battle win everything in the end. The collectivist philosophy has for years dominated two important areas of our culture, the media and education. With the rise of conservative talk radio, Fox News, and the latest arsenal being the bloggers, the collectivists have lost their grip of influence by way of the media. Education now becomes the Battle of Armageddon in the “War of Ideas” and the influence on our culture. Education is the keystone for the collectivist philosophy. If they were to lose it to the idea of individual choice, then literally the Tower of Babel will tumble down. This is why the fight over school choice may very well be the most arduous political battles in the history of this country. Rest of Story @ OnTheBorderLine by spiritofpublicus
