RE: Governor Doyle: Conservative
Lance - Do we have confirmation that the preemption bill signing is a go? After all, Governor Jim Doyle, a wholly-owned subsidiary of WEAC, said he 'might consider' signing it.
On the plus side, the "logrolling" charge (Another Progressive Era piece of trash law.) stays alive against Doyle.
Another hit for the left flank of Doyle.
UPDATE 2:05 PM - Nevermind, he did sign it. However, the Reagan Highway was vetoed.
Actually agree with that veto - Wisconsin doesn't name things after non-residents. As much as I love RR, let's not start a precedent here. I heard that the same logic was used by Thompson when Dems tried to get a highway or park named after Harriet Tubman of Underground Railroad fame.
So while we won't see a Ronald Reagan Highway, we can always dream of a Chris Farley Highway.
