They got this headline just right. Misfits. Ed Garvey and Ed Thompson have very little in common except for the fact that they both lost elections and are bitter.
This People's Legislature, are just left of left democrats (socialists) and unhappy libertarians who may have legitimate concerns about corporate influence, but who are going about it the wrong way.
This is how they see the world:

What would the Legislature take up if the members represented their voting constituents instead
of cash constituents like Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, the Wisconsin Realtors Association, and the 803 registered lobbyists representing the highway contractors, the utilities, the insurance industry and the banks? You know, the ones who would rather have you pay the taxes.
Funny, they forgot ASFME, WEAC and the environuts! Who do they think works for the manufacturers, realtors, construction and insurance industries? Its people like you and me. And who do they think are going to pay the taxes that the government taxes these agencies? Guess who? It won't be the companies. They just pass it along to the consumers of these products. If they really want to make a difference for "the people", they should work on getting government off the backs of everyone, reduce the size and scope of government and reduce the tax rates for everyone! But thats not how socialism works now is it? The problem here is that they believe that if you vote for bills that are good for corporations and have taken money from those industries, that there must be a quid pro quo. They couldn't possibly believe in what they are voting for or against could they?
