Re: Kathleen Parker on the Cartoon Riots
The Cartoon Conflagration is already a fairly old story. I first noted it over at Blogger Beer back in early/mid October. The fact that the Iman toured the Middle East with three bogus cartoons is also not too current but with our MSM ignoring the story I am sure quite a few people would be surpised by that fact.
One of the bogus cartoons is actually a photograph of a Frenchman in a pig calling contest. Michelle Malkin has the original photograph (as do other blogs) and the actual name of the Frenchman. Another "cartoon" is of such a nature that only the likes of Hustler would publish it. I can not see any European newspaper (even with Europe being much more liberal when it comes to that topic) publishing that one.
The MSM is working very hard not to notice this story and when they do they really don't get at the meat of it. The cartoons are the focus of the story and the MSM should show those cartoons and let people judge for themselves if they are truly offensive or if certain groups are being hypersensitive.
I'll have to check out KP's column.
